Role

We are currently looking for full-time or part-time Individual Support Coordinators to join our team. The Individual Support Coordinator role offers a unique opportunity to deliver quality, person centred services to people with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and encouraging independence, skills development and social participation for service users.

Essential criteria

  • Working experience in case management or key-worker in developing person-centred plans for people with disabilities and individual training program development for the achievement of their personal goals;
  • Working experience in the provision of supports and services for people with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities with varying needs;
  • Experience with active support and positive behaviour support;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; and
  • A reliable team player with a positive attitude and a flexible approach to work.

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker would be ideal;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Disability Services Standards; and
  • Certificate III In Disability Work or other tertiary qualifications relevant to supporting or training people with disabilities.

Conditions

  • Valid Driver’s license;
  • Covid vaccinations as per NSW Health legislations;
  • Current NDIS worker screening check (or the ability to obtain one); and
  • A valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Role

We are currently looking for part-time or casual Disability Support Workers to join our energetic team. This exciting role is responsible for delivering quality services to people with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for encouraging independence, skills development and social participation for service users. We have roles available in our day program (shifts are generally between 9am – 3pm, with some earlier and later start times available), as well as casual weekend shifts with our very enjoyable flexible respite program.

Essential criteria

  • Acquired training and competencies in implementing person centred services for people with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities;
  • Experience providing active support and positive behaviour support;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; and
  • A reliable and motivated team player with a positive attitude.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Disability Services Standards; and
  • Certificate III In Disability Work or other tertiary qualifications relevant to supporting or training people with disabilities.

The role

We are looking for a part-time or full-time marketing allrounder who has the type of experience that will allow them to hit the ground running. Does this sound like you? Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for driving revenue generation, business development & marketing campaigns to help our organisation grow. The Business Development & Marketing Officer is a key role within our organisation and we welcome innovative ideas and solutions. This role will suit a highly motivated and driven individual as there will be revenue and volume based KPI’s.

Key responsibilities 

  • Support the CEO with the implementation of new or adapted revenue strategies;
  • Proactively seek and generate leads, execute strategies and manage enquiries;
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to support recruitment across all programs and in commercial sales (Bushlink);
  • General fundraising, events, grants and sponsorship;
  • Drive initiatives to raise funds in a NFP environment where donors and fundraisers play a major role;
  • Work collaboratively in the community and with cross functional teams;
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client base, targeted market/prospective clients;
  • Provide direction and focus to CEO and Managers to retain current and growing client base;
  • Monitor and report on market and sector behaviour;
  • Develop marketing material for campaigns;
  • Attend marketing conferences and community events when required;
  • Ensure strategic communication plans for internal and external stakeholders are implemented;
  • Develop, implement and manage Northside’s Communications & Marketing strategy;
  • Manage, develop and maintain content on the website, newsletter and social media accounts; and
  • Promotion of Northside events, projects, impact and stories via a range of communication platforms.

Essential criteria

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a business development, communications or marketing role;
  • Demonstrated ability to increase revenue through process improvement and analytics;
  • Demonstrated experience executing marketing plans;
  • Understanding of the various content needs for a variety of marketing platforms;
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross functional teams;
  • Process driven with attention to detail to ensure professional execution of marketing deliverables;
  • High level of creativity;
  • Efficient time management & organisational skills;
  • A team player with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and a flexible approach to work;
  • Confident interpersonal communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills with the ability to craft compelling applications and proposals.

Desirable criteria 

  • Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded;
  • Experience or interest in working in a not-for-profit organisation;
  • Demonstrated experience writing grant applications, funding proposals, results driven fundraising, tenders or similar;
  • Direct Marketing knowledge would be advantageous;
  • Knowledge and experience in NDIS service delivery;
  • Proven ability to work autonomously & manage high volume of work with multiple competing priorities; and
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing, fundraising and client engagement.

This unique and exciting role is within our innovative Bushlink social enterprise. Bushlink is dedicated to creating real and valued employment for people with disability, through a network of working environmental project teams. Bushlink has been operating for almost 14 years, has a well-established client base and is a source of pride across the wider community.

We are looking for an experienced Business Manager to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. You will lead Bushlink to deliver inclusive employment and community outcomes while improving our natural environment. These outcomes are achieved through our work with schools, corporate groups, councils and more. Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Bushlink and play an integral role in growing our social enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the Bushlink team that includes Field Supervisors with technical expertise in conservation, our Administration Assistant as well as our team of Bush Regenerators who are in supported employment;
  • Contribute to Northside’s strategic planning;
  • Ensure compliance with WHS to ensure a safe work environment;
  • Manage Bushlink’s budget and other financial/reporting obligations;
  • Liaise with families and carers of supported employees in relation to all employment and support service matters;
  • Responsible for ensuring Bushlink contract work is booked and ensure effective utilisation of resources for each job;
  • Devise and apply strategies to promote ‘Bushlink’ team through networking, written correspondence and media; and
  • Lead the growth of service provision operations and new business opportunities for Bushlink to expand our social enterprise.

Essential criteria

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar business or management-related role, preferably with knowledge of developing social enterprises
  • Commitment to improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities
  • Have an attitude of a business leader and demonstrated effectiveness of managing a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer and administration skills
  • Knowledge of Disability Service Standards, NDIS and WHS requirements
  • Confident interpersonal communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Commitment to person centred services, integration, and social inclusion
  • High level operational knowledge to ensure effective quality services

Desirable criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience or interest working in the environmental and/or disability sectors
  • Demonstrated experience expanding a social enterprise model would be highly desirable
