Biography
I have over 30 years of experience in professional and financial services, having worked in Australia, London, and Zimbabwe. My career has largely focused on risk and compliance management, and I’ve held senior risk roles since leaving PwC in 2013.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Risk Officer at Nationwise Group, an innovative financial services startup. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to strategic leadership that keeps risk awareness at the forefront of decision-making. I’m passionate about good governance and promoting strong risk culture in organisations to create environments where all team members understand that everyone is responsible for doing business the right way.
Expertise and Contribution
I bring deep expertise in corporate governance, risk and compliance management, and finance. At Northside Enterprises Inc. and Bushlink, I’m proud to contribute to guiding strategic, risk-aware decision-making and fostering strong governance frameworks. This helps support the organisation’s mission of empowering people to support themselves.
Why they serve on the Management Committee
I’m passionate about the idea that modern communities should embrace traditional in providing local support to those in need. This is why I joined the Board of Bushlink and Northside, to help ensure that the organisation continues to provide an essential service to our society for many years to come. I’m motivated by seeing the ongoing positive impact that Northside and Bushlink have on the Northern Beaches community, and beyond!
Other Roles and Qualifications
I’m a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Outside of my professional roles, I volunteer as a youth mentor with the Raise Foundation, where I have the opportunity to support and guide young people who need a bit of extra help navigating life’s challenges.
Fun Fact
I’ve been lucky to call three countries home over the years. While I miss my homeland, Zimbabwe, every day, I’m incredibly grateful to have found my forever home here in Australia.
