Bushlink:
the spirit of inclusion
Bushlink is Northside Enterprise Inc.'s award-winning social enterprise, creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities through outdoor environmental work. Since 2008, Bushlink teams have been making a real difference—on the land and in the lives of those involved.
Each team is led by an experienced leader and made up of trained bush regenerators who not only earn a wage but also gain life skills, confidence, and connection in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Our programs include:
Environmental Projects: Our teams carry out vital environmental work—landscaping, mulching, weeding, planting, and more—in public and private spaces. Every project leaves a lasting legacy and demonstrates the strength of inclusive employment.
Schools Inclusion Program: This unique initiative brings students together with Bushlink teams to learn about inclusion and sustainability through hands-on environmental activities. It’s all about planting seeds—of empathy, awareness, and respect.
Corporate and Community Team Days: We offer tailored team-building days where organisations roll up their sleeves alongside Bushlink teams. It’s an unforgettable way to build culture, contribute to the environment, and support inclusive employment.
Our teams are ready to go and open to new opportunities and we are developing programs for supporting senior citizens with basic gardening and outdoor maintenance.
Meet Mark and Adrian:
a Bushlink success story
Before joining Bushlink, Mark and Adrian had never worked outdoors and weren’t sure what kind of job they wanted. But after just a few weeks on the team, something clicked.
“I love working with my hands, being out in nature. It’s peaceful and I feel proud seeing what we’ve done at the end of each day,” Mark says.
Since starting with Bushlink, Mark and Adrian have grown in confidence, developed bush regeneration skills, and both become mentors to new team members. They have even been recognised in NSW Parliament for their contribution to the community.
Adrian says. “All the people at Bushlink are my friends, I love going to work every day.”
This story is one of many that show how inclusive employment not only builds skills—transforms lives and builds long lasting friendships.
Growing every day
Through partnerships with schools, councils, businesses, and community groups, Bushlink continues to grow its impact—fostering community engagement, environmental stewardship, and a culture of inclusion. We’re currently exploring opportunities to expand Bushlink across metro and regional NSW so more communities can benefit from this proven model.
