Management Committee Member

Biography
I’m an experienced professional with a career spanning over 30 years across physiotherapy, ergonomics, safety, and wellbeing. I also have a strong background in workplace learning and capability development.

My approach is consultative and grounded in hands-on industry experience, including time spent working in the for-purpose sector, as well as in disability and aged care.

I’m committed to supporting the wellbeing of the Northside teams so that our people can truly shine and thrive in the work we do. I strongly believe in the power of connection and that when we come together with a spirit of generosity, we can shape more meaningful and effective ways to serve our community.

Expertise and Contribution
I bring a broad range of capabilities to Northside, including work health, safety and wellbeing, participative ergonomics, learning and capability, and physiotherapy.

I’m deeply committed to working together with others toward a sustainable future that’s aligned with Northside’s values, vision, and purpose. For me, that means always striving to create opportunities that honour individual choice and control, and that respect each person’s right to self-determination.

Why they serve on the Management Committee
I embraced the opportunity to join the Management Committee because Northside makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of people who truly matter. My motivation to get involved began with my work as a physiotherapist, and later as the WHS Advisor for ParaQuad Victoria. Those roles gave me the privilege of building close relationships with people living with disabilities, their families, and the extraordinary individuals who support them.

I also have friends with children living with disabilities, and through those connections, I’ve seen both the richness of life that’s possible with the right support, and the challenges that can arise. These experiences continue to inspire me and reinforce just how important organisations like Northside are.

Other Roles and Qualifications
I hold a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and Human Movement Studies (Education), along with a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. I’m also a registered Physiotherapist with AHPRA.

Fun Fact
I’m also a certified nature therapy guide, which means I guide experiences like ‘forest bathing’, a gentle, immersive way of connecting with nature that engages the senses and opens up space for new perspectives and deeper wellbeing.
