EmpowerMe Day Program — Skills, Confidence, Choice
At EmpowerMe, everything we do is about supporting growth, independence, and confidence. Our Six Pillars of Participation guide participants as they build skills, try new experiences, and gain confidence every step of the way.
Skills for Daily Life
Through Community Skills, we help participants build independence and confidence by getting out into the community. Through outings, group projects, and real-life experiences, they practise everyday skills and grow more confident navigating the world around them.
Additionally, Independent Living opportunities support participants to make choices, organise their day, and practise everyday skills that boost confidence and capability.
Connection and Wellbeing
Our Social Participation pillar focuses on helping participants connect and belong. Through group activities, outings, and little celebrations like birthdays, they make friends, strengthen communication, and feel part of the community.
We also build movement and active outings into our week through Recreation & Health, supporting physical wellbeing and creating opportunities for teamwork.
Preparing for Future Pathways
Through Skills & Volunteering experiences, participants build confidence, develop practical skills, and take on responsibility. It’s all about preparing for future job pathways while discovering what they’re good at and what they enjoy.
A Big Day Out at the Art Exhibition
Our Big Day Out to the Art Exhibition was a standout moment this month. Participants immersed themselves in creativity, explored new ideas, and engaged with the local community. Experiences like these build confidence, spark conversation, and create lasting memories.
